The most important button is the “About Us” button. Really. Think about it for a moment. Why does someone do business with an online business? Before they do there must be a high level of trust. It is possible that they have seen your product or offering many times. They may visit your blog or Social Media sites. They begin to feel that they know you. Rapport and even a relationship has been established.

You must do all you can to help them feel they know you and can trust you and the product or service you offer. This is important: They want a reason to have these feelings! That is why they click on the About Us button. They want to get acquainted with you. That is why you must have that button!

Having the button isn’t enough, however. How about the content on the About Us page? What do you tell them there? It can make or break the relationship.

You want to send one message loud and clear. ‘I help others and this is how I do it.’ It is a reassuring message and it is the information they are looking for.
